Taylor Swift is undeniably starting to get a “reputation” in the world of football.
Swift has become even more relevant as she has recently pursued a relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.
“The relationship is great but the attention it is getting is so over the top,” NFL fan and senior Hunter Bright said.
NFL fans are starting to become irritated as this relationship has started to take over the media.
“There is no need for there to be an introduction to Sunday night football involving Taylor Swift just because she’s at a game for Travis Kelce when I’m simply trying to watch football,” Bright said.
Bright admits that it could be an effective way to market, yet it could all implode in the future.
“It could completely backfire in the way of not true fans tuning in, who will eventually leave, starting to cause true fans to leave,” Bright said.
In fact, NFL fans are already angered as Swift fans are saying that Taylor put Travis “on the map.”
“This is one of the dumbest statements ever as he’s arguably one of the best tight ends in football ever and he’s 100 percent a first ballot hall of famer,” Bright said. “He was already on the map.”
Bright is already predicting their relationship’s downfall.
“They’re both self-absorbed and terrible people. Plus, their relationship is way too public to last,” Bright said.
On the flip side, Taylor Swift fans, Swifties, are indulged in their relationship.
“They are so cute together and he treats her so well,” Taylor Swift Club President and senior Kyleigh Jochum said. “He doesn’t want to hide her and is proud that he is with her.”
Swifties are ecstatic to see social media posts about when Swift and Kelce are out and about.
“I love seeing them together because their relationship is so cute to me, and their pictures make me so happy every time I see them,” Jochum said.
Swift’s attendance to Kelce’s games led to more viewers, which Jochum confirmed.
“I personally didn’t really watch football until Taylor started going to the games,” Jochum said.
Jochum has no doubts that Taylor brought more popularity to the already famous Kelce.
“Many people didn’t know who he was until Taylor because he is a football player for America, but she is a global superstar,” Jochum said.
Swifties are hopeful that this relationship might be one that lasts.
“He is very confident in himself and knows that he is very good at his job, and she is at hers so there is no competition. He seems like a very secure person and is extremely happy that he is with Taylor,” Jochum said.
