Fans everywhere are tuning into the “Love Island” reunion to catch up with their favorite islanders who are now seen in a different light, living their lives normally not how people have seen them in the villa. The reunion brought back 25 islanders, including Casa girls, the originals, and bombshells.
For viewers who don’t know, Love Island is a reality show that takes real life people and puts them in an enclosed space called the villa for an entire summer. During the show, another villa named Casa Amor tests the loyalty of each contestant, the boys went to the Casa Amor villa while the girls stayed at the main villa. A group of bombshells were brought into each villa, and they got to know each other for a couple days.
The boys could choose to bring back a bombshell from Casa Amor or go back solo and hope their partner stays loyal. The final four couples in the last “Love Island” episode were Nicole Jacky and Kendall Washington, Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, Serena Page and Kordell Beckham, JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez. In the reunion, it was confirmed that Craig and Rodriguez, Beckham and Page, and Kateb and Harichi are now boyfriend and girlfriend.
Jacky and Washington had a massive fight during the reunion, in which Jacky called Washington out for lying to her about a recent scandal that’s been resurfacing over the internet. Though many of the islanders backed Washington up, Page stood up for Jacky, saying that she also does not support relationships built on lies. Washington and Jacky officially broke up a couple days later.
During the show, Robert Rausch and Kateb were coupled up but after Casa Amor happened, Rausch was with a new woman named Andrea Carmona. Carmona and Kateb’s relationship was always on thin ice, as was Carmona’s relationships with multiple girls in the villa because many were on Kateb’s side.
Craig came prepared with four pages of receipts, all claims of when Carmona made negative comments towards any cast members online and called Carmona out for all of them. Kateb calls out her fans during the reunion, saying that they need to stop bullying Carmona and Rausch on Kateb’s behalf even after all of their past actions because no one deserves hate. Though Kateb, Page, Craig, and Olivia Walker, who’s another OG, admit to the bad things they did and said to Andrea in and out of the villa, Kateb still explains that she doesn’t want people to think she hates Carmona or anyone that did her wrong in the villa because she doesn’t hate them.
Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans’ relationship was rocky from the start, and because of all the lies, cheating and communication mishaps that happened during the villa, multiple trust issues were formed. Martin decided to finally stand up and realize her worth during the reunion.
Martin claims that Evans wasn’t truthful about his relationship with Daniela Rivera during the Casa Amor recoupling days and asks him to be honest with her. When he does not come forth and explain, she starts cursing at him and says that it isn’t fun to be in the position that she was in during their relationship.
The girls at the reunion applauded Martin for finally standing up for herself and Martin was happy she finally did it too. The amount of patience and stress put on all of these real people with real lives did not go unnoticed and the storyline was perfectly constructed after all of the drama that ended with the show.
