Students were busy this year leading up to Teacher Appreciation Week, which is May 5th through May 9th. There were multiple opportunities for students to show their appreciation to staff members that have impacted their lives.

The senior class of 2025 decided to write notes that were later placed on a billboard with the teacher’s name on the front of the cap or scroll and a note of appreciation to that teacher on the back. Seniors completed this in their English classes the weeks leading up to Teacher Appreciation Week.

In the library, all grade levels had the opportunity to write letters of appreciation and gratitude to teachers and staff who have helped them learn and grow. This occurred the week before Teacher Appreciation Week.

The Spanish Club had their annual teacher appreciation gift bag assembly meeting on April 30th after school in the library from 2:45 to 3:15 pm. Students from all grade levels participated in this meeting in order to support their teachers. There were also students from German Club and French Club there as well to support their teachers.

Prior to the Spanish Club meeting, students were asked to bring a bag of candy or chocolate into Professora Tony’s room to help contribute to the thank you bags.

At the Spanish Club meeting, students each sat at different tables with a group of four to five students per table. There were boxes of candy at each table ranging from chocolates to hard candies.

The bags started at one table as they placed two pieces of candy into each individual bag and then handed it to the next table of students where more candy was added each time. This assembly line went on until the candy ran out.

There was a group of students waiting at the end of the line to tie the bags and add a note of appreciation to them after the bags had been stuffed with all the candy.

Later, during Teacher Appreciation Week, the treat bags were distributed to all the teachers and staff in the building as a thank you for all of their hard work.
