Photo Gallery: Class meetings for sophomores

The Sophomore class listens to the counselors inside the theater. The Olentangy Orange Counselors held great scheduling meetings these past few weeks including a lot of information to help their students prepare their classes for next year. Scheduling usually takes place in the months from January to February each year.

Counselor Olanrewaju talks to his students in each meeting about the importance and amount of graduation requirements each student needs to take their education seriously. There are as many as 3.7 million high school students who graduate each year.

There are many options of classes that range from business to the core classes including english, math, history, and different sciences. The scheduling process is long and difficult but will eventually pay off on the road to college.
Counselor Brown talks to all grades about how to fill out the required scheduling card for next year. As Well as the steps to fill out the powerschool submission in order to submit the classes for the 2025-2026 school year. Many students have trouble deciding on what classes to take, for extra help students can log into Schology and find the counselor corner, which includes all the folders to help you achieve the end result for each students  schedule next year.
As many classes there are available, there are a few that require applications in order to take them next year. A few include Mentorship, DECA Marketing, Teacher Academy, DACC, and College Credit Plus. These require forms that all have specific due dates, if wanting to know more there are QR codes for each program and mentions on the news to help you fully understand each program and sign up officially.
Assistant Principal Ryan Sparks begins each meeting with an introductory of what each grade will be participating in, in these meetings. He discusses the importance of scheduling and when each grade level will have to turn their scheduling sheets in and finish the powerschool course request. The due date depends on each grade with freshman scheduling with their counselor starting this week.
